The village of Rudheath is set in the heart of Vale Royal, Cheshire, on the outskirts of Northwich and the school is pleasantly situated on the edge of the village. The building is set in extensive grounds which we are currently developing with the planting of new trees and shrubs. We have a large playing field, a spacious playground painted with games for use at playtimes, and a safe play equipment area with soft bark surfacing. Our 'wild area' provides a pleasant space to study wildlife. There is also a large internal courtyard with attractive flower beds, which can be used as an outdoor classroom.

Rudheath Community Primary School is a co-educational school maintained by Cheshire Education Authority and provides for up to 360 children between the age of 4+ and 11.

All our classrooms were newly built in 1994 and we have recently had extensive rebuilding to our administration area. We now have modern, comfortable premises which are a pleasure to work in.

Children work in large classrooms each with a shared workshop area immediately adjacent, which provides an appropriate space for creative arts and technology work. There is a large assembly hall, fully equipped with PE apparatus and audio visual equipment, a separate dining hall, a library, a practical cookery area, and a clay room with kiln. Two further classrooms are used by teaching assistants and a special needs teacher. We have two laptop trolleys used around school and multi-media PCs in classrooms, which give children the opportunity to fully develop their ICT skills and to use these skills to support their learning across the curriculum.
